Familiar photos taken while visiting Florida regularly include those of 1) a sunset 2) a beach 3) friends with a drink 4) the pool and boats. Photos I take usually are those that inspire me to improve Beachy Wreaths by Annie Gray in some way. Wreaths displayed in unusual spaces or in international settings.
Yesterday, sitting at our favorite lunch place on Central Avenue near downtown St Petersburg my view across the street was a most clever mobile retail “shop”. Had my back not been facing the street I would have noticed the crowd at the blue truck in the opposing parking lot.
Posies Flower Truck is one of the coolest ideas I’ve discovered in ages. Two clever friends, Tina and Stephanie started the mobile flower shop last November. When I snapped these photos they had sold out, were wrapping up and on the way to get more fresh flowers and then head to another pre-set location. Find a list of where they will be on their website.
A second reason to race across Central Avenue to meet the flower girls was to find out more about the cool truck. My son, Chance, refurbishes VW’s and the Posies truck got 2 thumbs up from him on creativity and craftsmanship.
The weather is still a bit chilly at the beach in Florida where we’re snowbirding. A craft fair, farmers market or art show is found in numerous communities every weekend and most weekdays. We will visit a few!
