So Long Beach
Admit it, wherever you live. Your answer will likely join the majority who answer “yes!” Question: would you like to live on a beach?
In 2007 I also answered “yes!” (But I lied.)
After ten hot, humid, sun-filled years in Treasure Island, Florida it was time to put a long, long marriage to the test. Move back to where we went to high school (quite important), where we were married, raised three kids and worked until 2007 or…well, we never got to the ‘or’ discussion.
By June 2017 Beachy Wreaths by Annie Gray had its new home in a suburb of St Louis, Missouri. Smack in the middle of the USA. Not a grain of sand or a surfboard within a thousand miles. YES!!!
Beachy Wreaths by Annie Gray was launched in 2009 from a garage in Florida out of complete boredom. With double doors needing wreaths and buckets of shells taking up space, creativity took over. Wreaths took over my every waking hour and every inch of garage wall space. I started selling wreaths at craft shows, online and to boutique shops. I even set up a booth at the huge Atlanta Gift Show. (That was a bust.)
Today, happily ensconced in a design studio above the garage at our 90-year-old English cottage in St Louis, Missouri, I am designing wreaths full throttle!
Today, my wreaths are rustic, country, Americana and of course, still “Beachy”. Over time, there will be more!
